Kevin and his son Mike who are Legends Outdoors regulars, came out for a February day on a Pennsylvania waterway. Kevin has in-laws in the Hideout and making these mini vacations while visiting family is an all around good time. The ice was very good with about a foot of thickness for this pair of anglers as they set out. The sun was bright and the skies were blue making wearing sunglasses crucial. Although the winds blew strong at 20-30 MPH on the day, the pair was in for the full day of fishing. The flags were flying at a rapid pace as the father and son duo were running all about the area while getting in the neighborhood of 30-40 on the day. They also did some jigging in between the ultra hot tip-up action as well. Kevin and Mike had some venison hot dogs and beans along with some snacks for a nice meal during their outing. They caught largemouth bass, pickerel, bluegill, sunfish and perch resulting in five species on this day. This was only their second time out ice-fishing, and it was a very successful one at that. We hope they enjoyed their entire stay in the region and look forward to seeing them on their next scheduled trip in May.
