Coming Back Home
Mike grew up in the area and has been away for many years now. He wanted to take his two sons Alexander and Nikolai back up to the area to do some ice-fishing that he remembered from years past. What they got was a pristine day with virtually no wind and bright sunny skies. The temperature even climbed into the mid 40's as the family had an absolute grand time on the frozen Pennsylvania waterway. Mike and his two boys used tip-ups and jigging for their quarry on the outing. The action was very good as flag after flag went up and there was plenty of running around from hole to hole. They even had doubles at times as the action was ramped up at times during the day. They caught largemouth bass, pickerel, perch and bluegill. All fish were released except for a couple pickerel that were harvested. They had venison sausage and grilled cheese sandwiches for nourishment. The boys really took a liking to ice-fishing and the entire experience and we look forward to seeing these up and coming anglers again someday along with their father Mike.
