Jerry is no stranger what-so-ever to Legends Outdoors or Lake Wallenpaupack, but for all his experience with both....he has never ventured out on the hard water with us. That has changed as he along with Kim and his hunting buddies Dale and Drew spent a day on this scenic lake. The four of them had a really nice day to be out on the frozen lake as the skies were bright blue and the winds were light for their adventure. The ice was slick, so for added safety cleats were a must for the anglers. They used a combo of jigging and tip-ups on this day. Fish would be caught both ways as it surely was a day for quality sized fish! Big smallmouths would be the theme of the day as eight of these big bronzebacks were brought through the holes by the anglers. Jerry shows below a personal best 21 1/2" slammer he jigged up. They would release all the smallmouth bass on this day. They also caught two pickerel and a decent amount of bluegill and perch during the outing. The group of four were treated to venison jalapeno hot dogs and venison sausage on the grill for eats. What a debut for this group as there was good action, good conversation, good food, good weather, and some great memories made!
