Brendan and Jessica headed out on Lake Wallenpaupack on a
pristine day in early February. They were back in town visiting as they
were both originally from the area and decided to do some ice-fishing
together. They are into hunting and fishing, but this would be the first
time on the hard water for Jessica. The above average temperature day and
light wind set the tempo for the day as the pair were enthusiastic and excited
about their day out. They used both methods of jigging and tip-ups to
pursue the fish under the frozen canopy. They jigged about as they patiently
waited for the word “flag” to be yelled by the guide so they could scurry to
the hole with anticipation. The action was good as they got into the
panfish, pickerel, and smallmouth bass. The panfish were harvested for a
nice fish fillet meal for the couple. During the outing they were treated
to venison backstrap that when cooking really heightened the senses in the
outdoor setting! All in all Brendan and Jessica had a great outdoor
experience and thoroughly enjoyed their adventure with Legends Outdoors.
