A Fun Bunch and Shore Lunch

Durell along with his wife Bev come out with Legends Outdoors a few times per year.  This particular trip they brought along friend Steve and were aboard the pontoon boat for a summer adventure.  They had a humid day with a light breeze and off and on clouds.  The trio started with live bait and switched over to casting about with Keitech Baits to pursue their quarry.  The day would be yet another fun and productive one for them as the yellow perch and smallmouth bass action was very good for the anglers.  Bev hooked into a giant bronzeback that put on quite a show in its efforts to free itself from the hook, but Bev played it out carefully and landed what would be her personal best smallmouth bass at 20" in length.  The game plan was for a shore lunch on one of the scenic islands that are on the lake.  They would have fried panfish, Bev's famous macaroni salad and some select beverages.  What a tasty and relaxing lunch it was and they also waited out a storm that rolled in for a bit before heading back out for the remainder of the day.  They continued to plug away and catch some more perch and smallmouth bass as they got well into the double digits of both species.  The perch were harvested while the bass were all released.  It was an overall excellent outdoor adventure for the group and we look forward to seeing Durell and Bev back again in the near future and glad Steve was able to join them for this July jaunt.
