Slab City

Chef Dave was back at it for another outing in the month of May.  He was chomping at the bit to get out for some panfish action with his custom ultralight rod and light line.  As it has been with many a days in early to mid-May, the day was another cold and windy one.  Right out of the gates Dave sliced and diced up the waters with Keitech Baits and immediately started getting bites.  This would be considered a non stop action type of day as it was big slab crappies and quality perch along with some rockbass, largemouth bass, and pickerel mixed in!  Usually Chef Dave brings the food, but Legends Outdoors provided their homemade pizza today for nourishment along with some snacks to keep up the strength and energy on this bitter day.  Dave went through many baits as the fish had a field day tearing through the offerings and Dave's favorite rod caught many fish on this day with him landing in the 40-50 range to be on the conservative side for sure.  Crappies and perch were harvested for some fried fish meals that Dave takes so much pride in preparing along with some of his tasty side dishes.  Dave will be back in the near future for another outing and we at Legends Outdoors look forward to seeing him again real soon.
