Taking a "Gander" at Justin and Vinny

Justin and Vinny scheduled a trip out with Legends Outdoors aboard the pontoon boat for some spring fishing on scenic Lake Wallenpaupack during the month of May.  The chilly and raw temperatures greeted the two friends in the morning along with a steady rain that brought a chill to even the heartiest of outdoorsmen.  These two were gamers and set out in the 53 degree water for the "big bite" early on with live bait with high hopes.  Perusing about the depths they did go, hand warmers in their pockets and a whole lot of patience.  The patience would pay off as the tell-tale vicious strike then occurred in the blink of an eye and when Justin set the hook....the battle was on!  A screaming drag and a beating heart were in unison like two instruments in a symphony orchestra as the striped bass pulled and tugged with all of its might to free itself from the line that stood between it and the angler.  After some time, the beast would tire and the striped bass would be netted and pose for a photo before being returned to the depths from which it came.  A great start to the day indeed for this pair, but they weren't finished yet.  There would be no more takers of the live bait so they switched to the second leg of the journey and converted over to Keitech Baits and had at it some more.  The theme of the day would be quality as the bites this duo got were good fish after good fish as a big largemouth was landed, some nice smallmouth bass, and some good sized panfish mixed in rounded out the catches on the day.  These guys hung in there and kept with it and were rewarded greatly on this overcast day and were also visited by a resident goose stopping by to see what was going on aboard the Legends Outdoors Pontoon Boat. Justin and Vinny are coming back later in the season and we look forward to having them aboard again for another outdoor adventure.
