Eleven Species Spectacular
Legends Outdoors Faithful....Dave and Chrissy headed north for a three course meal of Legends Outdoors. A day/night/day adventure was on the slate as Dave and Chrissy were revved up for some spring fishing. The days were on Lake Wallenpaupack while the night time trip was on the Susquehanna River to pursuit channel catfish. The night trip seen water heights that were up in levels and four nice catfish were caught during the outing with three being taken for table fare. Dave brought some of his pickerel patties from prior trips catch for the group to enjoy and enjoy they did! That was sandwiched in between the two daytime Wallenpaupack days which were also very fruitful days. Unloading on the fish with Keitech Baits mostly of green pumpkin and smoke/silver in color did Dave and Chrissy with their new custom rods they just had built for themselves. The days were warm and sunny with comfortable temperatures. They would enjoy the sun on their shoulders with a light NW wind that swept across the lake while observing a number of wildlife during the days. They would have solid action with a myriad of species during them. They picked and pecked and prodded their way to a total of 10 more species on top of those channel catfish including pickerel, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, perch, rockbass, crappie, pumpkinseed, longear sunfish, bluegill, and bullhead. The fish were devouring their Keitech offerings and their light action rods played them out gingerly. Dave prepared nice meals of Roast Beef Au Jus Sandwiches with homemade cucumber/onion and dill salad on the side for a delicacy of a lunch. Dave would land his biggest crappie of his life which was a very impressive 2.28# in weight on a certified scale. This crappie was a trophy catch for sure and will be a great conversation piece for years to come. The overall trip was a big success and we were glad to see Dave and Chrissy back again and look forward to seeing them both again very soon.
