Alternate Plans

Each year as a Mother's Day Tradition, Rob usually gets a group together to do a fishing trip.  Unfortunately in 2020 with the Covid-19 restrictions and such..that was not an option.  He found time from his busy schedule and rounded up his friend Brian for a day out on Lake Wallenpaupack in lieu of the group trip.  Their day out was windy as they set sail out on the fresh water lake in search of some fish that roamed the waters.  They tried for striped bass for a while, but came up empty without a taker.  They switched gears and focused on some other species with Keitech Baits.  This duo mainly poked and prodded the lake with the new US19 color and found success with it very quickly.  Slowly but surely they churned out the fish that consisted of some really hefty crappie, a few pickerel, and some smallmouth bass.  They amassed in the teens as far as total numbers and harvested the crappie and pickerel for some good eating.  They had some good conversation during the outing and enjoyed some sandwiches and snacks in the meantime.  It was a well needed venture in the outdoors for Rob and Brian and we look forward to seeing them again for their traditional outing in 2021!
