"Carp"e Diem

Another pair of anglers that were waiting to get out were long time veterans with Legends Outdoors, Wild Bill and his friend Joe.  These two avid hunters and fishermen were looking forward to the day when they could get back out on the water again for another adventure.  Their day aboard the pontoon boat seen an ENE wind that caused a slight chop and a sky that revealed just a tad bit of sun during the outing.  These two men were armed with the new US19 Keitech Color Baits and fished them with fervency in the 49-52 degree water of Lake Wallenpaupack.  The day was filled with decent action, but the quality of the bites were there for sure!  A striper was hooked and got off the line.  Another striped bass was battled by Wild Bill and he eventually landed the nice sized hybrid for a photo before releasing it.  Joe set the hook and had a tremendous seesaw battle on this huge 23# carp that took the Keitech offering and gave a valiant effort to shake the hook or break the line, but Joe did a tremendous job and this big carp was eventually landed.  These two friends had a double of pickerel that were both netted at once as shown in photo.  They caught nine nice perch, a good sized crappie, and a few smallmouth bass mixed!  Wow...what a day it was for Bill and Joe and they even found time to have some sandwiches and snacks amidst the action and talk about their hunting endeavors.  On the very next day after this trip, Joe got a turkey to really make his week a banner one for sure.  We look forward to seeing Bill and Joe again very soon and we want to thank them for being long time and loyal clients of Legends Outdoors.
