A Cold and Clammy Day!

Mark and Marshall are no strangers at all to Legends Outdoors and were on the slate for April, but also pushed back into May due to the regulations and situation going on with the Covid-19 Virus.  Their day out was cold and chilly with mostly sunny skies and a NW wind that was hindering.  When they got out on the pontoon boat, they felt none of those conditions as their excitement overshadowed the conditions.  They got a mid morning start of around 9:30 and right away went to Keitech Baits of the new US19 color.  They used a mix of easy shiners and swing impacts to entice many a quality bites during the outing.  They hooked into three striped bass; losing one and landing two as seen in the below photos. They also caught four or five voracious pickerel that just couldn't resist the action of their presentation.  Mark and Marshall also caught some really nice smallmouth bass during the day as the fish were very energetic in the 49-52 degree water that had a slight stain to it.  It was a day of all game fish and they shared many stories and had some beverages and tasty sandwiches to further punctuate their awesome day.  As a testament to the potential of the Keitech Baits we have our clients throw....Marshall was struck with a fresh water clam as it ate the bait and it was landed as shown in the photo.  The aggressiveness of the clam was amazing in itself, but it was a legitimate catch and one that truly deserved a photo.  It was a great first time out for Mark and Marshall in 2020 and we look forward to seeing them several times again during the year.
