Waxy Jaxy

Dave along with his family took the trek from the Harrisburg, PA area once again north to do some ice-fishing with Legends Outdoors.  This Mid-February Day was bright and sunny without a stitch of wind blowing during the outing.  The temperatures on the day climbed near the 40 degree mark on this Pennsylvania Waterway.  The warmth of the close sun felt comforting on the shoulders of this chef by trade as he jigged and monitored the tip-ups waiting for a flag to spring up.  The morning was complimented with some hearty Legends Outdoors Venison Stew as Dave is shown below ladling out some into a bowl to satiate his appetite.   In the meantime turkeys were heard throughout the morning gobbling in the distance as that unmistakable sound echoed across the quiet lake.  Dave was having a fair day jigging up some bluegill and perch while getting a few flags mixed in.  He would catch a nice largemouth bass that was released after a quick photo was taken.  His wife Chrissy stopped by for a while with son Jax to do some jigging.  She showed him how to jig away with the lure tipped with wax worms and this very young boy caught a few bluegill as he quickly caught on.  Thus he earned the name "Waxy Jaxy".  The action stayed moderate and a few more fish were caught here and there.  Chef Dave whipped up some "Pickerel Patties" back at his home and brought them for the lunch menu and they were quite a hit.  Dave is an amazing chef and these were outstanding!  The day would wind down and a few more photos taken before packing it in for the day.  It was another successful trip for Dave and his family and we look forward to seeing them back again in the very near future for some more Legends Outdoors Family Fun.
