Not Even a Ripple
Many years ago Mark used to live in the area, but moved away to Virginia to pursue a career and stayed there since that decision was made. Recently though, he had planned an ice-fishing trip to come back to his home area to do some fishing and other activities while here. That ice-fishing trip turned into an open water excursion as the lake is void of ice extremely early in 2020. The bluebird sky day allowed the warm rays of the sun to shine down on the solo angler to warm him on this early March day. The mission was to just get out and enjoy the day and do some fishing with no particular species in mind. This day was dead still all day with not a whisper of wind at all; allowing Mark to throw the 4 & 6 lb. test line very easily and detect any bite no matter how slight it was in the frigid waters. There were ducks flying and eagles soaring as the empty lake seemed like it was playing a song for Mark as he reminisced about days of yesteryear in NE Pennsylvania. He had a sandwich he brought to satiate his hunger and shared in some stories during the day. He would boat about a dozen fish consisting of pickerel, perch and fall fish that all took Keitech Baits as the offering. It was a nice day for Mark to chill out and reflect on things and spend a day out with Legends Outdoors.
