Legends for Leap Year

Jay and his family of Amy, Alex and Ben decided to spend their Leap Year with Legends Outdoors in 2020.  Jay is no stranger to Legends Outdoors and is with us many times per year.  His son Alex has been ice-fishing before, but Amy and Ben would make their maiden trip on the hard water on this day.  There was plenty of safe ice, but the day was very bitter, windy, and cold.  The wind chill was in the high teens and there was even a snow flurry amidst the mix of sun and clouds.  The warmth of the tent and running around for flags kept the blood flowing and the feet warm.  The pizza and venison jalapeno hot dogs fresh on the grill also helped warm up the anglers on this day.  The jigging action on the day was slow and minimal, but the tip-up action was decent as they caught some perch, pickerel, largemouth bass, and a few sunfish.  All of the fish from this outing were released back into the Pennsylvania Waters.  Overall despite the very challenging weather conditions of this winter day in NE Pennsylvania, it was a great family outing and fun was had by all!
