Just when the crowds were gathering in Western PA for the famous groundhog prediction, Dave and Chrissy were gathering their own crowds in Eastern PA. The crowds they were gathering were crowds of fish upon the ice as their second day out this ice-fishing season was a tremendous one. With temperatures near freezing to start and a slight overcast day, they set out on the frozen lake. The tip-up action would fast and furious right from the start and continue throughout the outing. Dozens upon dozens of bait were used as the pickerel, largemouth bass, and even a few perch couldn't resist a lively shiner in the frigid water. The jigging action was also very good as they caught bluegill, sunfish and perch along with a few largemouths on the rod and reel. This ideal fishing day also included some venison sausage and then later on was punctuated by jalapeno venison burgers prepared by Chef Dave that is a chef by trade and is an excellent one indeed. They snacked on Legends Outdoors famous pickled pickerel in-between and had an absolute bonanza of fun on the day. The day had virtually no wind and the senses were very heightened. Some bluegill, perch and several pickerel were harvested while the largemouth bass were let go back into the lake. Their legs and arms got quite a workout from all the running for flags and hauling in fish on the jig rods and we look forward to seeing Dave & Chrissy back again for another Legends Outdoors Adventure.
