A "Trick or Treat" for Jim & Ryan

Very fitting for this date.....the day started with the settings of a horror film.....driving wind, leaves blowing around, darkness, and rain as the anglers traveled from New Jersey on their way to fish with Legends Outdoors.  Jim and a friend from his hometown in Ryan made their way to the lake as day broke and the rains subsided.  Ryan came out late last month with us on a family & friends pontoon trip when it was hot and sunny, but this day would not be either of those.  It had a slight coolness, but the sun would not shine even once during the outing as the pair traversed about the lake.  With the water in the very low 60's the anglers the anglers went right after the fish with crankbaits in hand.  They cranked the slightly stained water and caught a few fish fairly quickly.  The humidity was up and the barometric pressure was dropping as the rain came in and a slight wind would blow from a south direction.  Jim was changing often from jerkbaits, to jigs, to Keitech Baits, to crankbaits, to drop shot, to this and that trying to find "that bait" for the day.  It was to be potpourri as the fish were caught one here and one there on a mix of all of these things.  Ryan is still learning may facets of fishing some of these techniques and baits, but is catching on quick and is intrigued by the tactics.  There was plenty of joking around going on during the day, and these guys enjoyed some Wawa Sandwiches which is a staple of almost any trip Jim goes on.  The darkness was setting in soon and the day wound down as they compiled several smallmouth bass, a few largemouth bass, a pickerel, two fallfish, and perch on this Halloween outing.
