Keeping it "Cranked" Up
Joe along with his father and brother Brian and son Joe Jr. were out on Lake Wallenpaupack in late October for some fishing. These local anglers are not only avid anglers, but also avid hunters alike. They truly love the outdoors and relish in every chance they get to be out there doing adventures such as the one that took place on this day. They had gone out earlier in the year on a spring trip and had such a good time that they were very interested in coming back. This trip would be a very thoughtful birthday gift to Joe from his wife and one he surely appreciated indeed. The group set out on the pontoon boat on a chilly day and they experienced periods of wind that had some good sized rollers out in the middle of the lake, but this did not deter them in the slightest. They had a very slow start, but it picked up later in the outing for them. The crankbaits took over and were the ticket on this day for this quartet of fishermen and it helped them rack up about a dozen smallmouth bass and some nice pickerel on the trip. They had gotten some hearty hoagies from a local deli and that kept their fuel and energy up along with some beverages as they grinded the water column with the crankbaits in search of the fish of this legendary lake. The day would eventually come to a close and with this trip the Legends Outdoors Pontoon Boat was put away for the 2019 season. We would like to wish Joe once again a Happy Birthday and hope to see this crew back again in 2020.
