Fall fishing can be a real exciting time to be on the water. The crispness in the air, the changing of the leaves, the sounds of acorns falling into the water, and the cooling of water inspiring the fish to start feeding heavier for the upcoming winter months. This day had all that as returning clients Dave along with wife Chrissy and son Jaxson headed out on a New York body of water for a day out with Legends Outdoors. The day was picture perfect for a family day out as the skies were pure blue without even the slightest hint of a cloud, barely a ripple on the water all day, and a chill to start the day that increasingly warmed up with the strong autumn sun. Dave started the day out with jerkbaits and caught a few smallmouth bass on that before switching over to a Keitech Baits and drop shotting. He is well versed at light line tactics and used that knowledge very adeptly to catch a variety of fish. He caught several smallmouth bass, a good quantity of panfish, and even a not so common grass pickerel that couldn't resist a Keitech. Dave and his family had a lot of fun on their day out with Legends Outdoors and were in the middle of a New York slate as it was salmon fishing the day prior and they were going to continue their New York adventures and head to Lake Oneida on a walleye trip with another outfitter to complete their slate. We hope Dave and his family had a fun and safe trip and look forward to seeing him and his family back again very soon.
