"The Big Three" of Lake Wallenpaupack

Mike and his father Kevin were back at it in 2019 for their annual fishing outing with Legends Outdoors.  They notoriously have had very successful trips in the past and this day would by no different by any means.  As an FYI, Mike eats, breathes, sleeps, drinks, and thinks about fishing seemingly 24/7 and was anticipating this day for some time.  Aboard the pontoon boat, they set out on a moderate summer day that had a breeze accompanied with it and plenty of sun.  They started out with live bait for some time and had several good strikes on it as the big ones were biting quite frequently!  They hooked into five striped bass that were ferocious fighters and were tiring out the weary arms of the anglers very early on!  Two came unbuttoned, but three of them were fought carefully and brought into the boat generating big smiles and happy anglers.  This would be an entire day of excitement and achievement typically, but it didn't end there as a nice walleye was also hooked into and landed along with a rare northern pike to complete "The Big Three" of predatory game fish at Lake Wallenpaupack. These two anglers didn't take traditional hoagies or sandwiches to eat during this day out as snacks were only consumed as there wasn't much time for eating as they were fishing with fervent demeanor as they are extremely passionate about the sport.  They would switch over to Keitech Baits once the live bait bite waned and they continued their success even though the boat traffic and humidity was increasing seemingly by the minute.  The tacked on several perch and smallmouth bass to the catch to round out their day and top off yet another outstanding outing for Kevin and Mike.  One of the stripers and walleye were kept for table fare, and the clients have sent us a photo of them prepared for dinner as shown below since the outing.  We look forward to seeing this father and son duo once again in 2020 for their annual trek with Legends Outdoors.
