Making the Rounds

Jason and his two fishing buddies are no stranger to ice-fishing whatsoever.  These three men travel about fishing the hard water on different bodies of water including even crossing the border into Canada.  Their mission today was to get a fix on Lake Wallenpaupack and headed out together on a late February day.  Their outing seen an east wind with overcast skies and a snow fall that put a shallow blanket on the ice.  The Pennsylvania residents ground it out all day and used their advanced equipment skills to jig up a decent number of fish and also haul several in on the tip-ups that were strewn about the area.  In between the jigging and shuffling to the flags, the Legends Outdoors Staff cooked this trio some venison jalapeno hot dogs and some very tasty venison stew to warm the anglers on this chilly day.  They would end up catching a healthy batch of smallmouth bass, pickerel, bluegill, and perch to amass a nice pile for some tasty fillets.  We wish them the best the rest of the season on their ice-fishing adventures and know they will be putting the miles on heading to their next stop.
