Brian & Kyle 3rd Shift Style
Brian who has been out with Legends Outdoors prior, came back for a night adventure and brought along his friend Kyle. They started in the evening in the daylight and there was heavy boat traffic still and warm temperatures hovering near 80 at the time. It started slow as they bounced around and then these two friends got the ball rolling and landed a few pickerel and smallmouth bass before the sun set on Lake Wallenpaupack. The thought of what may lay ahead kept playing in the minds of these two young men as they know what can take place after dark on this Wayne County body of water. Cast after cast they plodded along until the first walleye struck in the calm waters and it was landed and a photo taken of this night time predator. A bit later after stopping at another spot, the 2nd walleye was hooked and landed and the trip was going nicely. A few more stops and many more casts, them WHAM...Brian was hooked up with a massive fish. The drag squealed, the rod was buckled as Brian's heart raced and his eyes grew big in the anticipation of what he was playing towards the net. After many give and take runs, the striped bass was landed and a 16# lunker was on board. After a few more stops and the sounds of plenty of alewives popping here and there, Kyle reared back on a stiper of his own. This time it was a hybrid that was on the end of his line as he battled it out towards the net. It was boated and that would top off the night of catches for these two up and coming anglers. A great spring night out and one to remember!
