Sticking with Tradition

For 24 years, Smoothie has went out for his annual Good Friday outing.  He has been through snow, sleet, rain, wind, calm days, sunshine, fog, and so on and so forth.  This his 24th year, he had a slight breeze and off and on rain with temperatures in the 30's to low 40's.  This well-seasoned veteran of fishing Lake Wallenpaupack geared up and faced the elements with ambition.  Using a strict diet of Keitech Baits, Smoothie fished a variety of areas, depths, and varied presentations en route to a banner day.  A good variety of species was boarded as he landed a giant pickerel, about eight smallmouth bass, a few largemouth bass, and over 20 each of perch and crappie.  Between the action, some nice cuts of pizza were consumed and hand warmers used often on this Good Friday.  It was a very productive day indeed in the frigid water temperatures of Lake Wallenpaupack and we look forward to seeing Smoothie again back in the spring of 2019 for his silver anniversary with Legends Outdoors.
