Staying the Course

Brian who is a returning client with Legends Outdoors went out for a trip with his friend Rob who wanted to catch his first striped bass.  Brian has caught them before with Legends Outdoors and spoke highly of the experience and Rob was all on board for getting after it.  These avid hunters and fishermen headed out on a windy day with driving rains from the east and a bone chilling dampness.  The mission was to go big all day and not waiver.  They zigged and zagged all day firing cast after cast in search of these elusive creatures and kept in mind that any cast could result in that magical strike!  They kept at it and had some awesome sandwiches in between to keep their energy up and spirits high.  The result of their focused efforts was six bites.  Rob fulfilled the mission by catching his first striper that gave quite a battle,  Brian caught his biggest walleye from Pennsylvania, another walleye was hooked and lost near the boat, a smallmouth bass was landed, a brown trout was caught, and also a pickerel for good measure to round out the catches.  These two young men stayed the course and it paid off big time showing that determination and dedication can have great rewards.
