Plump Perch Pursuit

Ron and Jay who are great fishing friends for many years got on board for yet another voyage out with Legends Outdoors.  These guys are ready on a moments notice for perch action in the spring and this was one of those situations.  Their day out was cold and raw, but dead flat calm water made the bites much easier to detect and and they avoided the recent stiff March winds that have been present.  They picked and pecked at some haunts where the perch stack up and stack up they did as Ron and Jay consistently had bent poles with hefty perch on the other end.  They took home 60 jumbo perch between them to fillet and threw back more than 20 as they had an 80+ fish day. Amidst the fishing the entire boat was treated to marinated chicken sandwiches on hard rolls along with chips and beverages.  Those really hit the spot on a cold day like this!  After they stacked up on perch, they went for the "BIG BITE" and had at it for some time.  They did get it in the version of a slammer smallmouth bass to top out the catches for the day as these guys were all smiles as usual and we look forward to seeing them back again in the near future.
