Three Friends, Two Days, One Colossal Catch

George and Rickey of West Chester, Pennsylvania returned for another river trip with Legends Outdoors. They told their long time friend David from Hartford, Connecticut about their prior success and this time brought him along for the journey.  David is a fly fisherman at heart and decided to give this a try.  They decided on an October two-day outing and hit the north branch of the Susquehanna River.   The first day the trio endured wet, damp and chilly conditions, but that did not spoil their fun or the action as they landed 75 smallmouth bass, three walleye, and one nice channel catfish. Most were caught on Adams Custom Baits with a few being taken on a variety of topwaters. The second day the weather was much different and so wasn't the way the fish were biting.  The group used a different presentation once they were keyed in on the change. This day they used mostly TACKLEHD HiDEF Crawfish to absolutely light the water up with smallmouth after smallmouth topping out at 143 and a few other species mixed in including three walleye and a few other non typicals.  A huge day for numbers indeed!  David is looking forward to returning with his fly rod for some more action in the future and George and Rickey were satisfied clients once again as this group totaled 218 smallmouth bass, six walleye, one channel catfish, and a few other non typicals for the two days. A great time was had by all and every fish was released back into the river to thrive in this world class fishery.
