Dave has been out with Legends Outdoors in the past and was
back at it again in 2022. His usual
fishing partners were not available to join him on the adventure due to busy
schedules, so he went it alone. His ask
was to catch a tiger musky, so the stage was set to try and find Dave this
majestic fish. He and his guide set out
on the lake in the morning in a light to moderate chop on a mostly cloudy
day. It was fairly warm as Dave was set
up with Keitech Baits to cast about in search of his targeted species. He sprayed many a casts about the water that
was in the low to mid 50’s. Ah, and it
didn’t take long for Dave to strike green gold as one walloped his bait and the
battle was on. He played it out for a
while careful not to get cut off by their razor sharp teeth. The beautiful fish was landed and posed for a
photo before being returned back into the waters. It didn’t end there as Dave would
methodically pound away with this technique and had about a dozen bites which
resulted in big scores for the solo angler.
He caught a big walleye, some hefty largemouth and smallmouth bass, and
also another tiger musky to round out the catches for him. He had an absolute blast and fulfilled his
goal on this memorable trip. He also
brought along some tasty hoagies for him and the guide and soaked in the sights
and sounds of spring around the lake as he fished about. Dave
was very pleased and we look forward to seeing him again next year for his
annual Legends Outdoors Adventure.
