Curtis, Kimberly & Keitech

Curtis has been out with Legends Outdoors a few times before and has spoken to his wife about getting out together for a relaxing day on the water.  This spring it came to fruition as Kimberly and Curtis drove in from their New Jersey residency and prepared for a day out on the lake.  As has been the case with many a day recently, a high 30's in air temperature to start the day was on the slate.  There wasn't a stitch of wind making it a bit more favorable.  The early morning bite was crucial as they bundled up and went at it with their Keitech Baits.  It didn't take long before they both were on the board with crappie and smallmouth bass.  Not too long after that Curtis was struck by a voracious predator and the battle ensued.  He carefully played the fish towards the net and a 5.46# walleye was landed!  The bite would be decent for a while after this until the blue skies rolled in and strong winds kicked up.  It seemed to almost hit a switch really changing the mood of the fish indeed.  Even though the sun was out strong, the wind was chilly off the cool water.  Bouncing from location to location they would picking up one here and one there until they hit a decent run of smallmouth bass later in the adventure was how it played out for the remainder of the trip.  They had some tasty food and snacks for lunch as they soaked up the sights and sounds of the scenic waterway.  Plenty of waterfowl and other birds patrolled the lake and many a tale and stories were exchanged throughout the adventure.  They would compile a few crappie, a perch, about a dozen smallmouth bass, and the walleye before the day concluded.  All fish were released back into the lake. A great relaxing day out on the for the lovely couple, and we look forward to seeing them back again later in 2021.
