Returning Legends Outdoors clients from the neighboring state of New Jersey, Ed and his son Ed were eager to get out and do some spring jerkbait fishing. The May date was set and they got a nice early start on a chilly day. It didn't take long for the both of them to hook up and get the day rolling with the jerkbait pattern. Staying true to the game plan they bounced about the lake pursuing the game fish of Lake Wallenpaupack with varied retrieves. The partly cloudy skies turned into mostly sunny and the air temperatures warmed quite a bit from the start. They had some hearty sandwiches and indulged in plenty of conversations about a myriad of topics during the outing. Ed and Ed caught some nice smallmouth bass on the day and three chain pickerel including a hefty 4.45# Ed Jr. is posing with below. It was aimed towards quality rather than quantity and that surely was accomplished as these two avid anglers had a great time fishing together and seeing the vast variety of wildlife around the lake on this spring day.
