Returning client Eric signed up for a late April outing with Legends Outdoors. He brought along his father and his friend from the state of Louisiana for the adventure. As it has been so often as of late, a cold front was sweeping through NE Pennsylvania. The plan was to go out on the pontoon boat and target big fish and these three men would not deviate from that. They set out in the chop and got after it in the wind and on points in pursuit of their quarry. After many casts throughout the day the men hooked up with a hybrid striper that battled fiercely in the small swells. The beautiful specimen was eventually landed and posed for a photo before being released. The men also hooked up with another striped bass that battled back and forth in the swells before pulling free sending a brief sigh of disappointment throughout the boat, but the anglers quickly recovered. Eric's dad went to some finesse tactics and picked up a few nice panfish mixed in as the others stayed with he hard baits and bigger plastics. The men had some other action on the day in the form of some stout smallmouth bass that took their offerings and also battled hard in the crisp Lake Wallenpaupack waters before being netted and posing for some pictures. Some great conversation, comraderie, and fishing was surely on display today and we would like to thank Eric for coming out again with us and look forward to seeing him again in the future for another outdoor adventure.
