Walleyes, Weather, & Wawa

With the month of April comes a myriad of changing conditions for anglers to face out on the water.  This spring has seen many conditions including cold fronts, high winds, low water, high water, warming spells, fluctuating water temps, etc.   This day Jim and his son Matt would get a mix of those on their adventure out with Legends Outdoors.  A calm and cool morning this duo set out with overcast skies in the hopes of a fun and exciting day on the water.  It didn't take long until Jim caught two walleyes and a white perch really quickly to get the proverbial ball rolling.  This was a sign of things to come as Matt stuck steadfast with Keitech Baits as Jim used a variety of soft and hard baits to try and lure the fish into biting their offerings in the 50-54 degree water.  The entire day seen peaks and valleys of action for this father and son duo as they fished about the waterway. The wind would pick up and the rains would fall off and on throughout as the dampness of this chilly April day tried to penetrate the anglers very essence, but Jim and Matt would have no part of it as they kept at it all day long.  They traditionally bring Wawa sandwiches and other items from their on the outings and today would be no different as they took a lunch break between the action.  They also seen many birds on their outing including birds of prey and waterfowl that inhabited the lake.  It would turn out to be quite a day for quality and good quantity as they caught three walleye, a largemouth bass, a handful of slab crappies, a white perch, a pickerel, and several smallmouth bass that included some hefty ones as shown below.  Just an incredible all around day for the pair and we look forward to seeing Jim and Matt again in the near future for more outdoor adventures with Legends Outdoors.
