Last Hurrah
Wild Bill and Joe took an early November trip out for the
last time in 2020 with Legends Outdoors.
The calm and chilly morning reminded all on board that the fall surely
was here and taking hold. The mission
was to catch crappies and that was a mission that they tried to accomplish with
light line, patience, and Keitech Baits.
These savvy and veteran anglers didn’t take long to start hooking into
some real slabs as the action was really good throughout the trip. Bill and Joe talked about their hunting and
trapping escapades that they also embark in as they are avid outdoorsmen with a
real love for these sports. They had
some sandwiches and snacks in-between the fishing and enjoyed the slight warming
of the day as it did get into the mid to upper 40’s during the outing. The water was around 48 degrees and the
wildlife was just teeming on this day as on the way up there were animals
moving all about as it seemed just a really active day for nature indeed. Bill and Joe hammered at the crappie and
caught in the upper 60’s of fish for the day including a couple smallmouth bass
mixed in, but most were crappie and about 25 of those were harvested for fish
fry meals in the near future. Some of
these big crappie nearly touched 14” and were nice action for this couple of
friends. What a great ending to a great
season for Bill and Joe and we surely are looking forward to seeing them back again
next year for some more Legends Outdoors fun and adventures.
