Happy Father's Day

Kooch, who is a Legends Outdoors regular has been taking his father Jack out annually for a trip on Lake Wallenpaupack for a Father's Day gift.  The year of 2020 would be no different as this father and son duo once again made the trek out on the scenic waterway.  They like to start with bait and try to go for the big bite for stripers early on.  This was the pattern once again on this hot and steamy day as they made their way about the lake.  They would have one strike, but did not hook up on the first leg of their journey.  They would then go for smallmouth and perch with the bait and eventually switch over to Keitech Baits to round out their day.  Kooch brought along his traditional dish of pizza that he gets for the group which is always a hit.  They had some cold beverages to accompany the tasty dish as they fished about under the strong June sun.  There were plenty of stories and laughs echoing from the pontoon boat as they were having a great time.  They wound up catching several nice perch and smallmouth bass on the outing.  They took about a dozen perch that would be filleted for a nice fried fish dinner as Kooch and his father really savor fresh fried fish.  Happy Father's Day to Jack and we look forward to seeing them back again for the 2021 version.
