Friends, Fishing, Food, Fawn and Fowl

Chef Dave has had plenty of experience on a multitude of waters with Legends Outdoor.  He has on many occasions told his friend Gary about his exploits and endeavors with us.  Gary was cordially invited by his friend Dave to come along for late spring jaunt to pursue panfish on Lake Wallenpaupack.  They arrived prior to the trip and were greeted by some amazing encounters with wildlife as seen below.  Dave took some excellent photos here to capture the beauty of nature of parents with their young and we appreciate his appreciation for the outdoors.  Gary was hoping to get his personal best crappie as they set out and get big crappie they did as the gloomy morning quickly turned into a steamy hot and stagnant day as these pair of friends probed the waters with Keitech Baits.  The light lines sliced through the water with ease as they tantalized the panfish with their light action rods.  Gary and Dave would catch several slab crappie along with a multitude of perch that would be harvested for fish fillets.  They also caught a few pickerel which they kept one for pickerel cakes that Chef Dave is famous for and has shared with the Legends Outdoors Guides on numerous occasions which we are grateful for as we can attest for the excellence of them.  They took a nice break during the outing for a shore lunch on one of the islands as Dave also prepared a nice lunch for the group of BBQ ribeye cheesesteak sandwich with a side of loaded fried potato salad.  What a fabulous trip it turned out to be for these PA residents and we were glad to have Gary along with us and hope to see him back again for another Legends Outdoors Adventure!
