A Tribute to "Baby Jimmy"
A day out
on Lake Wallenpaupack was no stranger to Jim Sr. during his lifetime as he has
spent many a day on this lake during his lifetime and today we honored his
wishes to take him out one last time on his favorite lake. Jim who was a
very near and dear client passed away several months ago and today was a day
out on the lake to honor his memory and celebrate his life and share in stories
and memories of him. Today his sons Jim Jr., David, grandson Matt, and
son-in-law JT headed out on the pontoon boat for a day of reminiscing and
fishing. It was a chilly morning with excessive wind, but that didn’t
affect the anglers as it wouldn’t have affected “Baby Jimmy” which he was know
by in this circle. The group laughed about things that Baby Jimmy used to
talk about and his sense of humor and how he always was in a jovial and joking
mood. The conversations about his favorite foods, music, and endless
stories of his endeavours throughout his life were bountiful. Baby Jimmy
served in the US Navy and we thank him for his service to our country. JT
was cordial enough to read Baby Jimmy’s favorite passages from the bible as we
said our farewells to a great man who will have an everlasting impression on
everyone on that boat and so many others. He was a proud father and
grandfather and was loved by many including the staff here at Legends Outdoors
and will be sorely missed, but will always be a part of our family. The
group would have hoagies and beverages while fishing with the sunshine on their
shoulders on this memorable day. They used mostly Keitech Baits including
his favorite color of green pumpkin and Jim Jr. would mix in a variety of other
presentations as they would catch smallmouth bass, pickerel, and an assortment
of panfish on the day. They had a good amount of action and they caught a
solid amount of fish despite the cold front and windy conditions. A great
time was had by all celebrating the enriched and storied life of Baby Jimmy.
