Independence Day Delight
Bob, along with his two sons, Collin and Connor from Long Island, New York were on a holiday week vacation at their Pinecrest summer home in early July. With the projected heat, they started early, just after 5:30 and got off the water before noon as the boat traffic continuously was building as the morning progressed. These two avid soccer players along with their dad started with one throwing topwater and the other two Keitech Baits until the pattern was established. A few smashes on topwater occurred with a few fish being landed, but the Keitech Baits were much more productive and it wasn't long before all three were sling them around on this dead flat and very calm day. They were catching fish at a good steady pace with smallmouth bass, bluegill, rockbass, and sunfish being hooked into regularly. They had some sandwiches, Pringles, and waters for an early lunch as they fished in the hot and humid atmosphere of Lake Wallenpaupack with scenic blue skies overhead. They had plenty of conversations about sports, school, and things there were going to be doing on this vacation as Bob is very active in his community as with his family and keeps himself very busy. With the action slowing a bit later in the day, Bob set the hook on a solid fish and battled it with care and finally worked it into the net as this avid Philadelphia Eagles fan landed a slammer smallmouth bass to punctuate the catches for the day and took a nice photo with it before releasing back into the lake. The day was a big success, and we hope they enjoyed the fireworks that evening along with the entirety of their vacation at Lake Wallenpaupack!
