Jim & Jim Hit Back to Back Homers

The stars were aligned it would seem for Jim and Jim as they ventured out for another outing with Legends Outdoors.  This two day affair would take place in early May and have very favorable weather accompany the trip.  Day one would be much cooler with some off and on winds, but the action was phenomenal to say the least for this father and son duo.  A mix of sun and clouds and an appetite for fishing is what these two brought to the table as their assault on the lake was unprecedented.  They used mostly Keitech Baits and crankbaits to play havoc on the fish as bites were found all day long.  They caught a few largemouth bass including a whopper that Jim Jr. hooked into as shown below.  They also caught six walleye with most of them being good sized and those were taken for fried fish dinner as Jim Sr. believed walleye is the filet mignon of the fish world.  They also caught dozens of crappie and smallmouth bass and a few other panfish including perch, rockbass, and white perch.  They took the time to eat some nice hoagies during the outing and knew very well when they were done that they would pick up right where they left off.  The extended day would eventually end, but not before compiling dozens and dozens of fish for the books on the day.  Day number two would see a bit warmer temperatures and a slightly higher water level, but it would still wind up being a slugfest once again for Jim and Jim.  This day didn't see the overall size of day one of smallmouth and largemouth, but numbers and size of crappie and a monster pickerel showed themselves as these two men adapted to the slightly different conditions and used Keitech Baits and a variety of other soft plastics to get it done at a high level once again.  A few walleyes showed up again on this day as well as a white perch, several smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and a myriad of other panfish.  They took a nice break to eat some hoagies on this day also and reflect on the quality of the both days and truly savor the time out as a father and son and appreciate the wildlife along with the sights and sounds of spring.  The two days will always remain a unique outdoor experience for this duo, and we at Legends Outdoors were glad to be a part of it and we look forward to seeing Jim & Jim again in the very near future.
