Dave & David's Triple Crown

Dave and his son David recently came up to Lake Wallenpaupack to visit their family from New Jersey. They both love to fish and this would be their first time on scenic Lake Wallenpaupack. The late May day was sunny and windy, but not very frigid and had a comfortable temperature to it.  The trees were blooming and the animals were active as well as the fish on this outing.  They methodically used Keitech baits to entice many a strike during the outing as they carefully worked their baits in the varied depths.  It is not often that one catches a hybrid pike pickerel, but they did it.  It is not often that one catches a northern pike, but they did that also.  It is way more common on this lake to catch a chain pickerel, and they did that also to hit the triple crown of toothy game fish that roam these waters!  Aside from catching those, they landed some smallmouth bass, more pickerel, rock bass, perch, and a few sunfish! It was truly a banner day of fishing as they set the hook quite often and had their rods bent numerous times during this fishing excursion. They also had a wonderful lunch consisting of Legends Outdoors famous homemade pizza and some licorice for dessert.  Not only did they have a truly memorable day out in the water, they had a complete weekend as they spent time with their family and had a cookout afterwards in the evening and we're able to tell of their outstanding day and catch up on all the happenings with the family.
