Bucket List Brigade
Ryan and his crew of seven others consisting of family and friends headed north from Maryland for some hard water angling. They rented a house nearby and made a mini vacation out of the endeavor. They have been out with Legends Outdoors in the past on the open water of Lake Wallenpaupack, but none of group has ever ice-fished so this was a new experience by all as it was on their bucket list of things to do. They adapted quickly to the techniques used on this breezy day with temperatures in the mid 20's at best. It would be a slow bite on this day as a frontal system seemed to have the fish in a negative mood; so many times they would venture up to the offerings and not be interested and just turn away as the fish finders told that story time and time again. The group kept at it and kept in good spirits as they enjoyed some beverages, some venison stew and jalapeno venison hot dogs prepared by the Legends Outdoors crew. The flags would go off sporadically and some fish would take the jigged offerings here and there as all eight anglers would catch fish on this day and by the adventures end they would amass a pile of pickerel and panfish for harvesting. A great time was had by all and they thoroughly enjoyed their day on top of Lake Wallenpaupack.
