"Dublin" the Fun!

Happy New Year and the first outing of 2019 was Roddy and his son James who were in visiting one of Legends Outdoors clients Tim on a vacation to the USA from Dublin, Ireland.  Roddy is very involved in the world of golf, but likes to fish when he gets the opportunity and James is currently attending law school, but also likes to wet a line when the opportunity arrives.  This is a time when jigging rods and tip ups are usually used, but with the unseasonably warm temperatures it was an open water adventure to kick off the year.  An overcast and breezy start with temperatures in the upper 30's to lower 40's met these two men for their Pennsylvania fishing trip.  They were enthusiastic, revved up, and ready to go as they used light line and Keitech Baits in the frigid waters.  They methodically probed the area and the bites added up as they picked up one here and one there.  The wind started to lay down as the stinging on the hands lessened and detecting bites became much easier for this father and son duo.  They amassed nearly 20 fish on this day including two brown trout and the rest being pickerel, perch and fallfish.  A great way to start 2019 and we hope Roddy and James enjoy their vacation to the USA and wish them safe travels back to Ireland.
