Everything but the Kitchen Sink

Jim and his father Jim are very avid clients and diehards when it comes to weather and water conditions.  These two have fished through snow, wind, rain, sun, heavy boat traffic, and water from 40's to 80's.  They are up for any and all challenges when it comes to conditions.  This November day would be no different as the day before extremely heavy winds ripped across the area and a crisp blue sky rolled in which is something that hasn't happened for quite some time as it has been overcast and raining for most of the prior three to four weeks consistently.  The day started with a very frigid wind that was rough on the hands and a tough bite.  The key was moving around often to locate where the fish were and what depths they were at what and presentations they wanted.  This was a day of changing tactics often and throwing quite a variety of baits.  It wasn't a day of big numbers, but some really nice fish were caught.  They caught pickerel, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, a slab bluegill, and even a hybrid Northern Pike-Pickerel that are not very common, but are in Lake Wallenpaupack.  This father and son duo had a great time as the day warmed and calmed down to almost dead flat surface on the entire lake with the strong rays of an autumn sun on their shoulders.  They enjoyed some hearty hoagies from a deli and shared in plenty of stories and laughs during the outing while enjoying the sights and some beautiful fall foliage.
