All Saints Day Serenity
Wild Bill and his long time friend Joe went out for an autumn outing to kick off November. These two avid hunters, trappers, and fishermen had a picture perfect day for their angling adventure. A dead calm day, overcast skies, air temperatures in the mid to upper 40's, and a desolate lake provided the backdrop for this fishing expedition. They used light line with Keitech Baits to work up a multitude of strikes in the water that hovered in the very low 50's. They picked away one after the other of crappie, about two dozen smallmouth bass, a handful of pickerel, and a few other panfish mixed in. They enjoyed a nice lunch in between the tell tale whacks of these fish feeding up for the upcoming winter as they took the offerings without hesitation. Bill and Joe harvested about 40 crappie and released all of the other species as they closed out their open water season with an excellent outing.
