Book End Beauties!

Jim and Jim were once again back on Lake Wallenpaupack for another fishing adventure. An overcast start as they traveled up the lake to stop number one turned out to be a good one as Jim Sr. Landed a nice keeper followed up by Jim Jr. Hooking into and battling in a monster smallmouth to get the heart racing for the day. Several hours of picking and pecking at a bite here and a bite there ensued with minimal results, but Jim and Jim are persistent anglers. We regrouped with a hoagie break and reset ourselves for the rest of the trip as the boat traffic steadily increased as did the sun rising in the sky. They did manage some smaller smallmouth bass and panfish during the trip aside from the big smallmouth during this time.  As the chop on the water increased the fishing even got more challenging and the sun reminded us that summer was not ready to let go into fall yet.  In the waning hour of fishing Jim Jr. hooked into a behemoth largemouth that gave him quite a battle.  Eventually, Jim wore the monster bass out and it was netted for a photo before being released to end the day on a very high note.  It showed again that persistence and determination paid off big dividends on this outing for Jim and Jim!  We look forward to seeing them again when they return in the fall for some more action with Legends Outdoors.
