Oh What a Night!

Charlie who likes taking night excursions, yet again took one with Legends Outdoors this spring.  He brought along his grandson Johnny from Virginia on this trip.  The both love the piece and quiet that the night fishing offers along with the cooler temperatures under the cover of darkness.  Heading out in the twilight they racked up two smallmouth bass and a pickerel before the sun was just setting and as soon as the sun set, Johnny hooked into a striper and battled it for a bit before it was landed for a nice picture.  The trip was going well and then a walleye struck and was on for a little while before falling off.  It wasn't long before another walleye opportunity knocked and this time it was a beast of a walleye that thrashed and shook its head trying to get free, but it was worked into the net and wound up being just shy of 8 pounds!  The hot and humid night had fully set in now and the anglers moved around a bit and as soon as they hit one of their spots, another striper was hooked and landed.   Soon after that striper was released, another nice smallmouth struck and fought valiantly before being landed.  They fished around a little while longer and on the last stop the lunker of the day which was a 13.75# striper took the offering and the see saw back and forth was on as line was taken and then brought in and taken some more and then brought in before the fish tired out and was aboard the boat for a picture. Soon after they hung it up for the night, but not before having a spectacular trip together and one they will not forget filled with plenty of action from good quality fish!
