June Jaunt

Mark and his brother John made their annual early June trip to Lake Wallenpaupack to fish with Legends Outdoors.  A nice meal and stay at nearby Gresham's the night before preceded their day out on the lake as they were well rested and ready to go.  A very early start was on slate for this duo as they were primed for some topwater action and that they did as they pounded and pounded away with it.  The fish at times were reluctant to take their offerings, but others had vicious strikes with water erupting everywhere.  Some stretches of water were sparse of action and others had plenty of it as it was feast or famine much of the day.  As the bright sun rose higher in the sky and chased the coolness of the morning away, they switched to Keitech Baits to pursue their quarry.  The bite noticeably slowed a bit later in the morning to mid day but they kept at it and had a solid day overall having many opportunities and catching numerous smallmouth bass, several rockbass, and a handfull of crappie, and even a longear sunfish on their offerings.  A great relaxing trip it was for Mark and John and we look forward to seeing them back in June of 2019 for their annual trip.
