Mike & Jay's 2017 Coda

The father and son duo of Mike and Jay are Legends Outdoors regulars and head out three times per year with us.  They try and go in three different seasons or stages of the open water season throughout the year and traditionally do the shore lunch.  Today would be no different as this was their autumn trip and a chilly one at that.  A cold start to this October day did not deter these from having a good time as clear skies helped warm the anglers as did their fried fish luncheon on one of the islands.  The calm waters and bright skies made the bite a bit finicky, but they persevered by drawing a few strikes on crankbaits and the rest on Keitech Baits as they were able to produce some good quality on the day making the most of their opportunities.  Their catch included some hefty smallmouth bass, a largemouth bass, a few pickerel and a couple perch mixed in.  It was a nice way for Mike and Jay to end their season with Legends Outdoors and we look forward to seeing them for their spring trip in 2018.
