Icing on the Cake

Jeff received a birthday gift from daughter Christine and her boyfriend Rob of a trip out with Legends Outdoors on Lake Wallenpaupack.  They headed out on the pontoon boat on a cool overcast morning to traverse the waters of this 5,200 acre lake.  The day started out a bit slow, but as the air temperatures warmed and the sun started to eek its way through the clouds the action picked up substantially.  With all three anglers fishing feverishly with Keitech products; a good number of smallmouth bass, pickerel, and rockbass were caught along with a slab bluegill.  Fairly late in the outing Rob set the hook and the battle was on with 6# test as a striper made the drag sing.  After carefully playing out the fish, a nine plus pound striped bass was landed, thus putting the proverbial icing on the birthday cake for the trip.  Shortly afterwards a few more smallmouths were boated as the trip was wrapping up just as a strong storm approached.  An overall great trip and we at Legends Outdoors would like to wish Jeff a very happy birthday.
