Moosic Boys 2023

The annual Moosic Boys adventure took place in early May on scenic Lake Wallenpaupack.  The group of Sid, Doug, Ethan, and Donnie set sail on the Legends Outdoors pontoon boat for a day of fun together.  They had a moderate temperature day with mostly sunny skies and a slight north wind.  It happened also to be Doug's Birthday which just added to the celebratory day.  This would be Donnie's first year on the trek as the four anglers used a combination of hard baits and Keitech Baits to try and entice strikes.  The plastics had a decisive advantage on this day as the group landed into the double digits of fish including six striped bass that are fierce fighters and had some drags screaming before being netted for photos.  The rest of the fish that the anglers caught were smallmouth bass on the adventure.  They endulged in a shore lunch consisting of venison burgers, venison hot dogs, local sauerkraut from Moosic, and stuffed peppers as an appetizer.  They had some cold beverages and also talked endlessly about hunting, fishing, and other hobbies that they shared over the years.  What an all around great day for their annual trip and we look forward to seeing them back again in 2024!
