Sticking to a Strict Googan Diet

Chef Dave was out for his traditional 2-Day panfish escapade in early April.  The frigid cold mornings quickly heated up as the strong spring sun shone brightly for both days as it was difficult to find even one cloud in the sky.  The water was in the 48-52 degree range for the trip as Dave strickly used 4# test and ultra light gear to pursue his quarry.  It didn't take all that long until Dave was into the perch and crappie.  For two days, Dave gave the fish a steady diet of Googan Baits. Spring was in the air as cherry blossoms were in brilliant color and the numerous variety of birds were in abundance. Chef also was kind enough to make his specialty sandwiches for the boat in the way of Chicken Italiano that had pan seared chicken breast, mozzarella cheese, salami, and prosciutto drizzled with balsamic glaze.  It was quite a tasty delicacy to have out on the water indeed!  Chef caught a few dozen or more fish each day that included crappie, perch, a few bluegill, a largemouth bass, a rainbow trout, and a couple smallmouth bass that included a 3.48#er that was released along with the other gamefish. It was an awesome trip for Dave as he had plenty of action and has some nice fillets for future fish fry meals and we look forward to seeing him back again later in the season.
