Learning the Ropes
Avid angler John, heard about the potential Lake Wallenpaupack had in the way of the elusive striped bass. He wanted to head out and specifically target them and learn the ins and outs of the process. He brought along his wife Sheila that he so often does on his excursions. They were greeted with a hot day with dead calm waters and blue skies above. They used strictly live bait as they traveresed about the legendary waterway. John was learning the ropes and had some opportunities for sure as one was hooked and lost and another was landed after a long battle. This beautiful specimen was photographed and released back into the water. The couple also caught some bonus smallmouth bass and a few perch mixed in during the day. It was awesome day out for John and Sheila overall as mission was accomplished while spending some quality time together.
