Co-workers and good friends of Ed and Gary took a three day trip to the Empire State in late June with Legends Outdoors. Typically Ed Jr. goes on the adventures, but he has moved and could not make the journey north. This would be Gary's first time out with us and would surely be a memorable one for sure. The plan was to fish three different bodies of water and that they did. The weather was blue skies and very little wind day one while day two seen some south wind and a few showers early giving way to sun towards the end while day three was sunny and breezy. Mostly plastics were used in catching their fish although some were caught on hard baits, but very few compared to the slower presentations. Day one was more of a numbers game with the duo catching well over 50 fish including smallmouth bass, perch and rockbass. Day two was the lunker day as they hauled in 18 with 16 being largemouth bass with plenty being hefty and the big fish of the trip which was a slammer smallmouth. Day three was a nice mix of numbers and size as they caught largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and panfish mixed in. The entire trip was outstanding from the food, to the accomodations, to the great company.
